Dentures come in multiple types depending on the patient’s amount and location of missing pearly whites. Broadly speaking, false teeth come in one of two styles: complete or partial.

The most well-known false teeth are complete false teeth, which replace all chompers and come in conventional and immediate varieties. Conventional complete dentures will replace teeth two to three months after tooth removal so that gums can heal, but this means wearers will be without teeth during their gum-healing phase. Immediate complete false teeth, on the other hand, are ready for placement immediately after teeth are removed; the drawback being needed alterations to the dentures because gums and bones shift during healing.

Partial false teeth, in contrast to complete dentures, are meant to replace less than a full set of pearly whites. A bridge of partial dentures will contain fake pearly whites in areas matched to your missing natural pearly whites and will be held in place in your mouth using clasps that latch to the remaining natural chompers. However, if your remaining teeth are badly hurt, then Dr. Edmon R. Hutchison might endorse extracting your chompers and opting for complete false teeth rather than partial dentures.
